How does it work?

The inventory entry application which runs on a PDA allows you to enter all the details needed to complete your appointment. As well as noting the inventory, you can take other details as necessary, such as meter readings, keys, tenant signature etc. When you are ready, the details you have entered into the PDA are sent over the internet to our central servers (and any new appointments are downloaded to your PDA). You can then download your reports to preview and send on to your clients.

Is there really no typing?

Yes, the application on the PDA includes a database with a large number of commonly used inventory words and phrases. Words related to the task at hand are shown on the screen and you simply tap the screen to include the word or phrase in your report. For those occasions when a less commonly used word is needed this can be entered directly - the PDA includes a predictive spelling mechanism so it may not even need to spell the entire word.

How much does this cost?

We charge on a per appointment basis. This minimises your set up costs and means that we only get paid when you are working. See costs for a breakdown of the charges.

How do I get my completed reports?

Simply log on to our online appointment management system, select the appointment you need the report for and press the 'View Report' button, your report is available in seconds.

What if I need to make changes to a report I've just saved?

You can still make changes to the report, either on the PDA or online. There is no limit on the number of times you download your reports.

Can I change the layout of the report?

Yes, you can customise the fonts and colours used in the report, control where photos are shown and make changes to the content of the 'standard' text pages such as General Notes

I already own a PDA, will your system work on it?

Possibly. Our inventory entry system runs on Windows Mobile based devices with a minimum screen resolution of QVGA. However, we do strongly recommend that you use a device with the larger VGA resolution and with as large a screen as possible.

Do the reports include photographs?

Yes, you can take photographs using your current digital camera and upload any photos from your computer through our online booking system for inclusion in your reports. If your PDA has a built in camera then taking photographs is fully integrated.
